It has been raining the last few days. I look out the window and it is pouring right now – a good day to be inside a warm home.
An old pic but I felt it says it all
So I spend more time on the computer – oh boy can it take up the time
I belong to so many places and most of them are like this where we can interact. It takes up quite a bit of time catching up on everyone’s news and commenting, sharing my thoughts and feelings on what they have shared too. The Family site I run has been busy again – it is not too active, but every time I ask if I should shut it down, I get a resounding NO. Most of the younger ones prefer to use Facebook so they can also interact with friends and school mates, so……
I belong to Facebook too – I have not figured that one out properly at all, post a few photos, join in the 100′s of things that are sent to me, and send some back, wondering just what it was I did
The page does not show everything, and it takes a bit of looking to find even some of what I have supposedly done.) I can see why it would appeal to the young crowd, but I am used to a whole lot of interaction, and it just does not work the same way there. At least not the way I am used to.
I also belong to many discussion/interest groups on CARE2. Many different types of topics, some of which I do get quite involved in. Others are just interesting to be in. I have become very spoiled here and in the Family sites where photos are concerned – so easy to bring one in when you wish to show it off or use it to show something that is part of the discussion. It is not like that in CARE2. They have to be posted elsewhere that allows hotlinking and the link copied into your comment. At least they allow you to use the albums you have there, but the trick is to find the pic you want, and I am not that good at putting pics in at random where they are concerned.Life is very quiet again, so no real newsy updates.

I stopped being envolved in a lot of sites. I used to belong to daily om and to care to and to a dozen others I can’t keep up with Xanga. Have a good week Fran. Enjoy the rain. Judi
Thanks for all your good wishes and support. We both wrote about Facebook today…weird, eh? I like days that it rains because it usually feels so cozy in the house. Have a good week. Judy
I have a Care2 involvement as well, although there are only a couple of issues I get involved in. I also enjoy their e card section. I don’t have Facebook, but I do have MySpace which is a fun way to keep track of my scattered friends and relatives in one place. Of course then, there is Xanga….
I joined facebook but I don’t really understand it.
I know I spend way to much time on the computer. I am very active on several sites also. I started on facebook when my cousin who I had just got into contact with asked me to. She never does anything on it so it has been just sitting there. Now my girls have joined it and added me. I don’t know how to do anything on it so I’ll wait until they figure it out and then they can teach me. We had way too much rain this past spring and had so much flooding. Now we are very dry. We could use a good shot of rain.
Most of my kids do Facebook, but I never have tried it.
I do not understand Facebook at all!

That wedding dress looked lacy, but it was actually cotton eyelet. Maybe that’s why it lasted. My wedding dress was not so fancy. It was pink and white, and I first made it into a dress for my daughter when she was little. Later on (after it had been through several girls,) my friend in Africa made underpants for her little girl.
@Portia - Thanks for answering my post dear. Yes, I know I have popped in to see how you are doing often, but did not comment for a long time. I used to visit with you regularly. http://www.xanga.com/exlog This is my Hubby. I know he used to visit you too. He turned 79 this year and is doing quite well yet.
