time to Fall Back
This is the last day we are on Daylight savings for the year. Tonight we put our clocks back one hour. The news said we get to sleep in an extra hour and this is good for the heart
They also said of course Monday we get stressed again and all that benefit is gone haha. There are times when the News never ceases to amaze me and make me laugh. So many contradictions, so many scares that turn out to be hot air, so many things the scientists are supposed to have found – but wait, it is only a preliminary finding and not confirmed or even close to being viable. Oh well, guess they have to fill their time slot.We had a great Halloween night after all. The rain dried up just before 5pm and it was not that cold either.
Not sure exactly how many showed up – less than last year, but not by that many. Judging by the left over candy must have been a little over 50. For the most part they came in small groups, and seemed the parents accompanied the majority of them, for which I was happy to see. Everyone had some great costumes on this year, including the parents.
And this morning Elmer called to let me know the new neighbors have started to move in! Too many people helping and only small vehicles and truck so far, so do not know which ones are the new owners.

Hope you get nice neighbors. My kids moved today, only 3 miles away, but they were only a block away. They have a lot of arranging and putting away to do! I babysat, but had help.
Here is a prayer for wonderful new neighbors. Glad you had a good Halloween. Love to you, Judi
I keep telling myself that next year I won’t buy any candy cause we hardly get that many kids. Last year we got 19 and last night we got a grand total of 3. You can bet I won’t be buying any candy next year….but then I’ve said that for years…ha.ha But can you believe 3 kids. I should have let the third kid fill up his bucket. If I’d of known he would be the last one, I sure would have. I don’t need these delicious bite size candy bars laying around calling out my name..ha.ha Guess I’ll give them to my neighbor and let her take them into her class room and give them out as a reward or whatever. Just as long as these little buggers are out of my sight….smile
yes, you never know until the friends and family leave,do you? hope they’re nice and quiet.
Your Halloween sounded like lots of fun! Our daylight saving has been in for the past three weeks, so enjoy your sleep-in with the extra hour!
I’m glad it turned out to be a nice night for the kids there. We don’t get any trick or treater here as we are 5 miles from town. When we had kids a half mile away they would stop by but they have moved to town now and the new people have no children. And we don’t even know them. One thing I would enjoy about being in town but I think I’ll stay where I am at.
