We are having a gorgeous day – they are saying it could break the rcords from over 20 years ago today for temperatures. Days like this I wish I had someplace to go that is new but cannot think of anywhere.

This morning as I sat in the livingroom drinking my first coffee, I noticed a lot of activity outside around our bird feeder – wow there were a couple of sets of completely different birds than normal, and even the blue Jay was there. When I went to get the camera, they disappeared, and then I saw they were around the patio instead, at least one of the pairs, so through the door window I clicked and was able to capture these pics before they took off again.

Not sure if you go to the largest picture(middle one might be best) saved whether there will be a clear enough one to tell what kind these were – I would really love to know.

  • I am sorry I cannot help you with the bird.  The picture is not clear enough.  Of course, I probably wouldn’t know what kind it is anyway!  lol   A lot of  the western birds are different from ours here in the eastern section of the country.  We also start getting different birds at our feeders, too.  They are from Canada, and heading south for the winter already.  In Spring it is the same way—only then they are heading north.

Glad you are having good weather.  Ours has been great, too, up until yesterday.  Now, temps are back to normal for here—which means temps only in high 50′s.  Our summer didn’t start until late, so have been enjoying having it hang around a little longer than normal.

  • Beautiful pictures.  I tracked back a bit and enjoyed many of them.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Great photos.  We have a whole new bunch of birds here too.  I love Fall.

  • My bird feeders have been empty for some time now.  It happens this way every late summer into fall.  Not sure where they all go.  I guess they have plenty of natural food to eat.  I love it when the bird that are just moving through start arriving as I get to see some I have never seen before.
